Common questions

My reminders aren’t arriving

In Pesky, open Settings › Troubleshoot Notifications. It checks that notifications are allowed for Pesky, that you’re online and that this device is registered, then sends you a test notification. If a check finds a problem, tap the fix it offers.

A Focus or Scheduled Summary can also hold Pesky’s notifications. Allow Pesky in your Focus settings, or take it out of Scheduled Summary in the Settings app › Notifications.

Random reminders only arrive inside your active hours.

What do Done and Snooze do?

Press and hold a reminder’s notification to see its buttons.

  • Done marks a timed reminder done for that time, and stops Keep Reminding Me.
  • Snooze 15 min sends the reminder again in 15 minutes. Random reminders have Snooze only.

You can also mark a timed reminder Done from the circle on its row, or from its Today list when you open it.

What are active hours?

Active hours are when random reminders (Nudge, Nag and Pester) can arrive. Change them in Settings › Active Hours. The start and end need to be at least an hour apart.

Reminders set for a time arrive at that time, whatever your active hours.

What is Keep Reminding Me?

Keep Reminding Me is part of Pesky Pro. Turn it on for a timed reminder, and Pesky sends it again every 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes until you mark it Done. You’ll find it with the reminder’s time when you add it, and on the reminder’s page.

How do I restore my Pro subscription?

Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you subscribed with. Then, in Pesky, open Settings › Get Pro and tap Restore.

If Pesky already shows Pro, tap it in Settings to open the Customer Center, which can also restore purchases.

How do I change or cancel Pesky Pro?

In the Settings app, tap Apple Account (your name at the top) › Subscriptions › Pesky. Or, in Pesky, tap Pro in Settings to open the Customer Center.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your subscription renews to avoid the next charge. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel it. For a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I get my reminders on all my devices?

Sign in with Apple, Google or email on each device: in Pesky, open Settings › Sign In. Signing in is optional, and the reminders you already have come with you.

How do I delete my account?

In Pesky, open Settings, tap your account (the row that shows your email address, or “Apple Account”), then tap Delete Account. Pesky asks you to sign in again to confirm.

This deletes your account and its reminders and history on every device, and it can’t be undone. It doesn’t cancel Pesky Pro.

Using Pesky without signing in? Sign in first, then delete the account, or email us and we’ll help.

What does Pesky do with my data?

Pesky keeps your reminders, their history and your settings so it can send your reminders. It has no ads and doesn’t track you. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.
